TANCET 2018 Application Form: Eligibility, Dates, How to Apply

TANCET 2018 Application Form will be announced in the month of January 2018. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is organized by Anna University, Chennai on the behalf of Government of Tamil Nadu. It is a state level entrance exam to offer admission into M.Tech/M.E./ M.Plan/M.Arch/MBA/MCA/ and lateral entry of MCA programme. The entrance exam is conducted one time in a year. Through this exam, candidates can get admission in various Government and Government aided institutions. TANCET score card is considered by various colleges of the Tamil Nadu state. TANCET 2018 Application Form

Candidates are advised to download the information brochure and read it carefully before filling up the TANCET application form 2018.

Candidates can register for TANCET 2018 through online mode only.
TANCET 2018 registration will be started in the month of January 2018.
The registration process will open till the month of February 2018.
At the time of filling the form, candidates have to enter their personal, qualification details, address, etc.
Upload the recently taken photograph (file size of 20kb to 30kb) while filling up the application form.
At last, submit the form via online mode and take a printout of the confirmation page for further references.

Application Fee:

Candidates belonging to the general category have to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250 for reserved category candidates) as an application fee. Application fee can only be paid through online mode. If candidate desires to apply for more than one programme, then they have to pay the additional application fee for every programme. Candidates can use the net banking, debit card and credit card to pay the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates have to satisfy the following eligibility requirements to appear the TANCET exam.

For MCA: Students must passed bachelor’s degree in any stream with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Students should have Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
For MCA Lateral Entry: Candidates must possess the bachelor degree in BCA, B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level. Candidates have to score minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates) in qualifying exam.
For MBA: Candidates must passed the minimum 3 years of bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates).
For M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan: Candidates should pass the BE/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan with 55% marks (45% in case of SC/ST candidates). It is mandatory have valid GATE score card.
Appearing Candidates: Appearing candidates can also apply.
Other state candidates can also apply but the eligibility will be fixed by the admitting authority/university.

Aspirants can follow the given below steps in order to apply for TANCET 2018:

Register yourself by filling the details like candidate’s name, email id, date of birth and mobile number.
You will be provided with the user ID or password for subsequent login in your registered email id or mobile number through SMS or mail.
Fill the details in the application form such as personal details, qualification details, exam centre, select the course for which you want to apply, etc.
Upload the newly taken photograph in JPG/JPEG format (file size is given above).
Make payment through online mode by using a credit card/debit card/net banking.
Verify all the details entered by you and then submit the form.
Note down the application number generated after the submission of online application form.
Do not forget to take a printout of the application form.
