University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering aptitude Test (UPESEAT 2017) is the University level entrance examination conducted by the UPES, Dehradun for admitting students in its 37 Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme. UPESEAT 2017 Answer Key

Candidates can check their answer key through online mode in the month of May 2017. Candidates can calculate their rough marks with the help of answer key & marking scheme. With the help of answer key, candidates can know that he/she will be eligible for the admission or not.

UPESEAT 2017 Result

It may be expected that UPESEAT 2017 Result will be declared in the month of June, tentatively. The appeared candidates can check their result by accessing the official website of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. The successful candidates are further called for the counselling process for the allotment of seats.

Scholarship

UPES offers limited scholarships in 5% seats of B.Tech (all disciplines). 100% scholarship on the tuition fee is offered to those candidates who secure 85% aggregate marks in class 12th and 90% marks in PCM. The distribution of scholarship will be done on the basis of merit.

UPESEAT 2017 Counselling

The University conducts centralized counselling for UPES B.Tech seats. UPESEAT 2017 Counselling will be started from second week of June, 2017 tentatively. There is separate counselling arranged for the candidates of UPESEAT 2017 qualifiers and for the JEE Main merit holders. The seats will be allotted to UPESEAT merit holders (80% seats), JEE Main 2017 rankers (10% seats )and to the Board Merit holders (10% seats).

UPESEAT 2018

UPESEAT 2018 is a university level entrance examination. It is regulated by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun. This exam is gateway to get admission to the 37 Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses in various disciplines. The application form will be provided from the Last week of December 2017.

UPES Admission

The admission to the B.Tech programme offered by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies through UPESEAT will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in UPESEAT 2017 entrance test followed by the centralized counselling. The admission in the 20% seats of the UPES will be done through board merit and JEE Main merit followed by centralized Counselling on the basis of merit ranking.

UPESEAT 2017 Application Form

• The interested candidates can fill the online application form of UPESEAT 2017 through the official website of UPES.
• Application has been closed now.
• The last date to fill and submit the application form was 5th May, 2017 (extended). No further extension in application form was provided afterwards.
• The online payment was done through Credit card/ Debit card /Net Banking.

The candidates can also collect the application form along with UPES prospectus from admission counters at Ahmedabad / Chandigarh/ Cochin / Coimbatore / Delhi / Dehradun / Hyderabad / Kolkata / Mumbai by making the payment through DD or by cash. The DD should be drawn in favour of “UPES Fee Account”, payable at New Delhi / Dehradun.

Eligibility Criteria

The admission to the B.Tech seats of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) will be done through UPESEAT 2017 (80% seats) and through non examination pathway (10% seats will be filled through Board merit and 10% seats through JEE Main merit). The eligibility conditions required to apply are as follows:

For Examination Pathway (UPESEAT):

• The candidates must have completed 10th and 12th with minimum 60% marks.
• Must have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in PCM at 10+2.

For Non Examination Pathway (Board Merit & JEE Main Merit):

Board Merit

• Minimum 80% marks at 10th and 12th and minimum 80% aggregate marks in PCM at 12th class.

JEE Main Merit

• The candidates must have passed his/her 10th and 12th board examination with minimum 60%marks and must have 60% aggregate marks in PCM at senior secondary level.
• The cut-off rank of JEE Main 2017 will be announced on the official website of UPES after the declaration of JEE Main 2017 result.

Age Criteria:

The candidates seeking admission in B.Tech programme of UPES must born on or after October 01, 1995 to be eligible for UPESEAT 2017.

UPESEAT 2017 Admit Card

Candidates can download the UPESEAT 2017 Admit Card from the official website of UPES from 9th May 2017 (link is given above). The examination will be held on 13th May 2017. Affix your photograph in the prescribed space of the downloaded admit card. It should be preserved and produced at the allotted test centre. Entry in the examination hall will not be provided without admit card.

UPESEAT Exam Pattern

It is very important to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern before appearing the exam so that you can get the brief idea about the examination. The candidates will get the examination pattern of UPESEAT 2017 from here:

• Type of Exam: The question paper type of the entrance examination will be objective type.
• Duration: It has the time duration of 3 hours (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
• Negative Marking: No provision of negative marking.
• Marking Scheme: One marks will be awarded for every correct answer.

UPESEAT Syllabus

There is no prescribed syllabus for the preparation of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering aptitude Test. The candidates are advised to prepare the PCM subjects, English Language Comprehension and Current Affairs. For PCM sections, the candidates can refer the syllabus of JEE Main. Candidates can read their academics books of class 11th and 12th, NCERT books for preparing UPESEAT exam.
