GATE Answer Key Challenge
The authority will also provided the facility of challenging the answer key if any. After checking the generated answer key, if candidates will not satisfied with the official answer key can challenge it. The challenge window will be opened from the first week of March to second week of March 2018. Candidates can challenge the answer key by paying Rs. 500/- for each question. The final decision will be taken by the GATE conducting authority if the challenge will be accepted. The final answer key will be uploaded on the website. The final key will be released by the authority after accepting the objections from all candidates.
GATE 2018 Marking Scheme
GATE written examination will be conducted on different dates for all branches. The exam will be conducted through online mode (computer based test). MCQ questions of 1 mark, for every wrong option1/3 mark will be deducted and in 3 marks MCQ questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There will no negative marking for numerical type questions. The negative marking will be considered only in the multiple choice questions.
