NID Application Form 2018: Eligibility, Dates, How to Apply

NID Application Form 2018 will be available from 25th September 2017. National Institute of Design (NID) offers UG & PG design courses in its affiliated campuses. Candidates have to clear the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims & Mains examinations to get admission into various design courses. It offers four years (B.Des) course at Ahmedabad campus and two & a half years (M.Des) course at Gandhinagar, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad campuses. NID 2018 Application Form will be available from 25th September 2017 (2:00 PM). Link will be provided here

NID Registration 2018 should be done after reading the prospectus carefully. Details about application are mentioned below:

• Candidates can fill the application form from 25th September 2017.
• The last date to submit the application form with late fee will be the first week of December 2017.
• Candidates those belong to SC/ST and PwD category have to upload the required certificates in prescribed format.
• Candidates have to register themselves before filling the application form.
• Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature & other required certificates.
• In case of payment through DD, candidates have to send the printed application form along with DD to the address given below:

NID Application Fee:

The application fee can be deposited through credit card/ debit card and Demand Draft. The demand draft should be made in favor of “All India Management Association” payable at New Delhi. The category-wise application fee is mentioned here:

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Des:

• Age Limit: The upper age limit is 20 years on or before 30 June 2018 (3 years relaxation in upper age limit is given for reserved category).
• Qualifying Exam: Candidates those have passed/appearing in the 12th standard examination from any recognized board are eligible to apply.
• Appearing Candidates: Those applying under the appearing category have to produce the proof of passing the qualifying exam at the time of admission.

For M.Des:

• Age Limit: The prescribed upper age limit is 30 years on or before 30 June 2018 (relaxation for reserved category is 3 years).
• Qualifying Exam: Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized university/institution can apply for this course.
• Diploma Candidates: Diploma holders in design in 10+2+4 level can also apply.

Follow the steps given below to register and fill the NID application form 2018:

• Visit the official link (the link will be given above).
• Register yourself by entering details like mobile number, email ID, DOB, etc.
• After registration, candidates can login to their accounts using email ID and DOB.
• Fill all the required details in the application form.
• Candidates have to upload scanned images of photograph, signature and other necessary documents according to the specified format.
• Pay the application fee through online or offline mode.
• After fee payment, take printout of the application form for future use.
• In case of fee payment through DD, candidates have to send the printed application along with required documents to the authority address.
