CAT Admission Procedure 2017, CAT Counselling

CAT Admission Procedure 2017 will be started after the result announcement. Common Admission Test (CAT) is organized for those candidates seeking admission into MBA and other management courses. It is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) on rotation basis. Every year, lots of candidates appear in this exam & the number of students increasing year by year. CAT Admission 2017

The CAT entrance exam will be conducted on 26th November 2017. The result will be declared in the 2nd week of January 2018. Each IIM Institutions will send the interview letter directly to the shortlisted candidates after the result declaration. The seat will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit list.

CAT Score card will be accepted by the top-ranking management colleges of India. Each college has a separate admission criteria. The institutions organize personal interview (PI), group discussions (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds for admissions. On the basis of the CAT score card, performance in the PI, GD & work experience, candidates will get admission into management programmes.

CAT 2017 Admission Process

The selection procedures to get admission into top IIMs are mentioned below:

• First, candidates have to qualify the CAT admission test.
• Various IIMs releases their own admission criteria after the result announcement.
• On the basis of candidate’s performance in the admission test, academic performance & relevant work experience, the candidates will be shortlisted for the admission process.
• The Institutions will invite the shortlisted students for the second stage of selection procedure directly.
• The second stage of selection may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).
• Each IIM has different admission procedure, academic cut-offs & weightage.
• Students will be selected for admission on the basis of entrance test, GD, PI and other selection rounds.
• Once the seat is allotted candidates have to get their document verified and pay the required fees to get admission.

Documents Required at the time of Admission

Document verification process will be done at the time of counselling process. Candidates have to produce their original certificates along with their photocopies for verification process. Here we have listed the documents needed at the time of admission:

• Graduation degree certificates.
• Reservation category certificates (if applicable).
