UPSEE 2016: Application Form, Pattern, Exam Dates

The UPTU 2016 (Uttar Pradesh Technical University) is also known as UPSEE Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). The exam is held for the candidates belonging to the state of Uttar Pradesh and is conducted for admission in undergraduate courses like pharmacy, engineering, hotel management and postgraduate courses like MCA, MBA offered by the various colleges/ institutions located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a state level entrance test organized by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam technical University which was previously known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University.

Eligibility criteria

The candidates who are applying for UPSEE 2016 must read the eligibility criterion which is given below:

• The candidates should have the domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh.
• For admission to first year B.Tech/B.Pharm, the candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+ 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject taken together.
• For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFA candidates have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+2 examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/ university and securing minimum 45% marks without grace ( 40% marks for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate.
• For admission to first year of B.Arch, candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university and securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate and clearly passed without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject taken together.
• All the candidates who are eligible for admission in B.Tech courses are also eligible for B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering)
• There is no age limit for UPTU entrance exam 2016.

Reservation and Categories

There are some seats reserved by the government for admission in various colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The seat reservation will be for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The seat reservation for different categories is given below:

• For Scheduled Caste (SC) – 21%
• For Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 2%
• OBC (Other backward classes)-27%

Besides this 20% of seats are reserved for UP girls, 2% seats are reserved for dependents of freedom fighter of U.P. and 5% seats are reserved for defence people of U.P

UPTU Application Form 2016

UPTU application form 2016 will be available from last week of February 2016 tentatively. The form will be available through online from the official site as well as through the offline process. The candidates should fill the application form correctly and completely. If any information is false and incorrect, then the candidate will be disqualified.

Candidates should follow the following steps given below for applying to UPSEE 2016:

For Online Mode:

• Go to the official site.
• Click on UPSEE application form 2016.
• Fill the form correctly and completely.
• Upload latest passport size color photograph and left hand thumb impression in given space.
• Pay application fees through debit card or credit card.
• Again read the form carefully and verify all the details.
• Click on submit button.
• Application form will be downloaded.
• Take two print out of application form for future use.

For Offline mode:

Candidates can take the application form from any of help desk at colleges of UPTU. They have to fill the form correctly and completely using black or blue point pen. They have to paste one recent passport size photograph on top right corner of application form. They have to pay the fees through e-challan. After paying the fees they can submit the form in the address given below:

UPTU Admit Card 2016

The UPSEE 2016 admit card will be available from 2^nd week of April 2016 tentatively. The admit card will be available online through the official site of the board. The admit card contain the following details of the candidate such as candidate’s name, roll number, date of birth and exam center.

UPTU Exam Pattern

UPTU entrance exam will consist of multiple type questions. Candidates are required to select only one choice for correct answer in each question. Every objective type multiple question will carry four marks for each correct answer. More than one answers indicated against the question will be treated as incorrect answer and no marks is awarded for the incorrect answer. There will be no negative marking and answers are to be marked with the blue or black ball point pen.

Declaration of Answer Key

UPSEE answer key will be declared after one/ two weeks of the examination. Students can check their answers and can calculate their marks and score with the help of answer key given through the website.

UPTU Result Declaration

UPSEE result will be declared in the third week of May 2016 tentatively. The result will be declared through the official site of the board. Candidates can download their result by entering their roll number/ name and date of birth.

UPSEE Cut Off

UPSEE 2016 Cut off will be decided on the basis of various factors including the number of applicants appeared for the exam and the number of available seats. Cut off means the minimum number of marks which a candidate should have to get admission in any of the colleges located in Uttar Pradesh.

UPTU Counselling

UPSEE or UPTU counselling will begin from 2^nd week of June tentatively. Candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of marks secured by them in the examination. At the time of counselling the candidates belonging to the reserved category will have to show their category certificate and if the candidates have passed their examination from the other state then they have to show their domicile certificate.

Documents required for counselling

The following documents are required for counselling:

• 10^th class marksheet.
• 12^th class marksheet.
• Passing certificate of both 10^th and 12^th
• Category certificate ( if applicable)

Counselling Process

The counselling process consists of three steps as given below:

• Documents Verification- In the first phase of counselling procedure all the original documents of the candidates are verified. After the verification of documents the candidates will get a pin number.
• Choice Filling- In this phase candidates have to sign in by their pin number and have to select the college as well as the programme in which they want to get admission.
• Confirmation of Seat- in this phase candidates will confirm their seat and have to deposit the confirmation fee. If they will not deposit the confirmation fee their admission will be cancelled.

Admission Process

After the few days of counselling candidates will get their seat confirmation message. The candidates will have to go to the allotted for confirming their seat, if the candidate will not report to the college in the allotted time then the seat will be given to the other candidate.
