REAP 2017: Application Form, Eligibility and Exam Dates

REAP 2017Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process popularly known as REAP is conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan. REAP 2017 is organized for admission to undergraduate programme like B.E./B.Tech offered by various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities). Candidates who are Rajasthan domicile and Kashmiri Migrants are eligible for registration in REAP. REAP 2017 Application Form

Candidates are informed that no separate entrance test will be conducted for providing admission to engineering colleges of Rajasthan. Admission will be done either through JEE Main 2017  or 12th class merit. Candidates are required to fill the online application form for REAP 2017 admission. REAP 2017 application form will be available in the third week of May, 2017 (tentatively). Don’t send hardcopy of application form to the REAP office.

Application Fee

Application form will costs Rs. 400/-. Payment can be done through e-Mitra/CSC kiosk center authorized by the Government of Rajasthan. Candidates have to submit Rs. 410/- (Rs. 400/- against application form fee and Rs. 10/- for e-Mitra service charges).

Eligibility Criteria

To appear REAP 2017, it must be necessary for the candidates to fulfill all the eligibility conditions in respect to qualification and age. Eligibility conditions are discussed below:

Nationality:

REAP 2017 is open only for those Indian nationals who are holding the domicile certificate of Rajasthan.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech/B.E. programme in Rajasthan must have passed 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Computer Science as one of the optional subjects.
  • Qualifying examination i.e. 12th must be completed with minimum 45% aggregate marks obtained in above mentioned subjects. 40% marks for SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer “SBC” of Rajasthan state.

Age Criteria:

  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October, 1992 are eligible to apply. Relaxation of 5 years will be provided in the upper age limit of SC/ST/PwD candidates i.e., they must born on or after 01 October, 1987.
  • Date of Birth mentioned in secondary education mark sheet/certificate will be taken into consideration.

Important Dates

Here, we are providing the tentative dates of REAP 2017:

  • Commencement of Online Application Form: in the month of May/June
  • Last Date of depositing the fees through e-Mitra/CSC network: Second Week of June
  • Last date for filling of the Online Application Form: Second week of June

Reservation of Seats:

As per the Govt. of Rajasthan, reservation of seats is as follows:

  • For SC Candidates: 16%
  • For ST Candidates: 12%
  • For OBC-NCL Candidates: 21%
  • For NCL-SBC Candidates: 1%
  • For PwD Candidates: 3%
  • For Women Category: 25%
  • For Dependants of Defence Killed/Ex-servicemen / Gallantry award winner: 3%

REAP 2017 Counselling

REAP 2017 Counselling will be organized by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan. Counselling will be conducted either on the basis of candidate’s rank in JEE Main 2017 (if any) or candidate’s mark in class 12th. Candidate’s have to lock their choices for branch and college before appearing in counselling process.

Documents Required at the Time of Counselling:

  • Domicile Certificate of Rajasthan
  • 10th Class Mark Sheet
  • 12th Class Mark Sheet
  • JEE Main 2017 Admit Card
  • JEE Main 2017 Rank Card
  • Category Certificate (if any)
  • Disability Certificate (if any)

Selection Procedure

Two separate merit lists will be prepared, first merit list is based on JEE Main 2017 scores and second merit list is prepared on the XII percentile basis. After the announcement of merit list, choice for the option filling will be conducted. At the time of option filling, candidates have to deposit Rs. 10,000/-. Candidates can fill their options either on the basis of JEE Mains score (Merit-1) or Percentile of 10+2 examination (Merit-2). 50% seats in the engineering colleges of Rajasthan will be filled through JEE Main 2017 and rest of the 50% seats on the basis of class 12th merit.

Admission

Admission will be strictly done on the basis of candidate’s merit (either in JEE Main 2017 or class 12th performance basis). In addition to candidate merit, order of options filled in by the candidate and availability of seats is also taken into consideration for the seat allotment. After the allotment of seat, candidates have to report the allotted institute within the specified time.
