Document Verification for MBBS/BDS courses has been started from 13th July 2017. Document verification schedule for reserved categories has been released now. Baba Farid University of Health Science, Faridkot is the main conducting authority that organizes Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET 2017). Punjab PMET is a state level medical entrance exam. It is conducted for providing the admission in MBBS/BDS courses in government & private college of Punjab. From the year 2016 onwards, the seats of MBBS/BDS to be filled on the basis of NEET score card. Provisional Merit List for MBBS/BDS courses will be published on 16th July 2017. PMET 2017 Application Form
Candidates can get the application form from the official site. The PMET 2017 Application Form is available through online mode. The application form has been released now. The last date to submit the application has been extended till 12th July 2017. After filling the application, candidates take the print copy of the filled application form for the further reference. There is no need to attach any documents with the application form.
Application Fee
Candidates can get the prospectus by paying Rs. 200. The application fee is Rs. 5000 (For General Candidates) & Rs. 2500 (For SC Candidates). If candidates will not apply in the given time frame, then they can apply after paying late fee that is Rs. 3000. Candidates can pay the fee through e-challan from Oriental Bank of Commerce. The e-challen will be generated after online submission of the application form.
Punjab PMET Eligibility
- Candidate should be a bonafide resident of Punjab.
- Candidates must have completed the age of the 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.
- Candidates have to qualify 10+2 examination or other equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.
- They have to secure at least 50% marks (40% marks in case of the SC/BC category & 45% for Persons with Locomotor Disability of Lower Limbs) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.
- Appearing candidates can also apply.
PMET 2017 Exam Pattern
Candidates are informed that PMET exam will not be conducted this year. The PMET 2017 Entrance Exam will be held on May 2017 (tentative) through online process. The question paper will consist of 200 multiple choice questions. Candidates have a choice to write the exam in English or Hindi mode. The duration of the entrance exam will be 3 hours. 4 marks will be awarded for correct answers. There is no negative marking. The question paper will consist of the class 11th & 12th syllabus.

PMET 2017 Admit Card
The PMET 2017 Admit Card will be provided from the official portal. Candidates can download their admit card in the month of May 2017 (tentative). Candidates can save the admit card for the future admission process. There is no other mode will be entertained to communicate with the candidate related to the admit card.
PMET 2017 Result
The result (merit list) will be declared by the conducting body. the merit list will be released on 16th July 2017. It will be published in the official website. On the basis of merit list candidates can participate in the further counselling rounds.
PMET 2017 Counselling
PMET 2017 Counselling will be held through online mode. It will be started from 17th July 2017. The counselling will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the NEET entrance exam. To attain the counselling procedure, the candidate has to pay the counselling fee. The seat will be allotted on the basis of the rank list and college choices filled by the candidate. After the counselling, if the seats will remain vacant, then the admission will be done on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in 10+2 (qualifying exam).
