VSAT 2017: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern

Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test (VSAT) is a university level entrance test conducted by the Vignan’s University. VSAT is organizes for admission in B.Tech programme that are offered by the Vignan’s University. The admission in the B.Tech programme is based on the performance of the V-SAT, EAMCET, JEE Main. In this article, we are providing complete details about VSAT 2017 that includes an application form, eligibility, exam dates, exam pattern, etc.

VSAT 2017 Application Form

VSAT 2017 Application Form will be provided from the second week of November 2016. The last date for receipt of the filled application form is the second week of April 2017. Candidates can get the application form via three modes:

Direct From the University: Candidates can obtain the application form by post from the university office after submitting a fee of Rs. 1000 through DD. You can also get an application from Vignan Schools or Colleges at Guntur, Eluru, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Vignan offices at Vijayawada, Guntur & Hyderabad.

Indian Bank Branches: Candidate can also get the applications from Indian Bank branches throughout the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana .

Download Application Form: Candidate can download the application form from the official portal of the university and fill it. After filling the application form, candidates have to send a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000 & Application Form in the given address. Candidates have to write their name and address on the reverse of the DD.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for VSAT 2017, they have to fulfill the given eligibility criteria:

• Candidate must have born on or after 1 July 1995.
• Candidate should have complete their Intermediate or equivalent examination & secure at least 60% aggregated marks.
• Appearing candidates also apply.

Important Dates

Here, we have updated the tentative date schedule of VSAT 2017:

• Application Form Availability Date: second week of November 2016
• Last Date for Receipt of Application Form: second week of April 2017
• Date of Entrance Examination: last week of April 2017
• Result Announcement: first week of May 2017
• Counselling Started: third week of May 2017

Exam Pattern

The VSAT 2017 entrance exam will be held in two slots. The duration of the entrance exam will be 3 hours. The question paper will be asked in English language. The question Paper will consist of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, English/Aptitude, Maths or Biology. There are 120 multiple choice questions will be asked. For each correct response one mark will be given. No mark will be deducted for incorrect response.

Note:

• Candidates have to attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English/ Aptitude section of VSAT exam, they are eligible for admission in all B.Tech Courses.
• Those candidates attempt Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English/ Aptitude section of VSAT exam, they are only eligible for admission in B.Tech Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biomedical Engineering/ Food Technology Courses.

VSAT 2017 Admit Card

The admit card will be provided through online or offline process. VSAT 2017 Admit Card is dispatched through courier/speed post. Candidate can also get their admit card from the official site one week prior to exam date. The admit card contain information about candidate name, candidate roll no., test centre, test date, signature, etc. Candidate preserved the admit card for counselling and admission process.

VSAT 2017 Result

VSAT 2017 Result will be declared in the official portal of the university. It is published in the first week of May 2017. The merit list will be prepared after the declaration of the result on the basis of the performance in the entrance exam. On the premises of the merit list, the candidate will be called for the counselling process.

VSAT 2017 Counselling

After the result announcement, the counselling procedure will be started. It may be started from the third week of May 2017. The counselling schedule will be intimated to the qualified candidates either by post or through SMS/email. It will be also published on the official website. At the time of counselling, candidate have to produce the original documents that are given below. Candidate will not be allowed to attend the counselling process without these documents.

Admission

Candidate will get admission into the university on the basis of the merit list. The merit position of the candidate will be based on the rank obtained in the VSAT, EAMCET, JEE Main.
